@ DemoCampMontreal1

I gave a demo of ilovetoplay.com™ last Tuesday at DemoCampMontreal1. It was alot of fun and I got some great feedback from some of the attendees. Many were excited about our site and signed up and blogged about it the next morning (see this and this).
I was a bit lucky to be presenting though, Fred called me the night before to ask me if I wanted to fill in for one of the presenters that couldn’t make it. I couldn’t help but think that this kind of thing happens alot in boxing. When a boxer who’s scheduled to fight a big name fighter gets injured (or fakes an injury) a few days before a fight, another ambitious fighter comes forward to take his spot in the fight in hope of making a name for himself. We often see these replacement fighters get knocked out in the first round cause they just weren’t prepared on such short notice.
In case you’re wondering, I didn’t get knocked out, my demo went smoothly. I even took a jab at the crowd by showing them a potentially offensive ad image for the site just to get their reaction to it.
I had a great time. The organizers did a great job. I’ll be attending DemoCampMontreal2 on March 29th to check out what else is on the Montreal tech scene. See you there!

Good job my friend! I really enjoyed your demo, and thanks for pinch-hitting!
Marc, nice work! Judging from the feedback, it looks like you have to add pitches to the marketing plan for your company!
nice work dude— hope you skyrocket…

Thanks Sandy!
